Throughout history artists have been our story tellers. They shape our perception of history and beauty, they influence how we view our world and the events that surround us.
Art has power.
To be an artist in a time like this is to be brave. To tell your story is to be courageous. To give others a glimpse into your world is to be fearless.
Let us celebrate the courageous Ukrainian artists who persevere to tell their story.
How can we support Ukrainian artists to tell their story in a time or war and turmoil?
Aid2Art is a campaign I worked on at my time with Alight. AID2ART UKRAINE is an art show and campaign curated by Alight to directly support the Ukrainian creative community, featuring limited-edition art pieces. It is also a fund to provide $1000 cash transfers to Ukrainian creatives in return for a piece of work for an art show.
My primary role was to develop language and a voice for the campaign. How can we unify all these different pieces of art from all these different artists? They all look so different but at their core they are about Ukraine and the pride these artists have to represent their country. With this I designed their instagram approach and did research into curating and presenting works of art. We celebrate the bravery and admire the artists for continuing to tell their story through the war.
